(North Carolina A&T State University) – Class of 1968 Scholarship
Dear Loudoun/Douglass Alumni Class of 1968,
I am beyond grateful to have been chosen to receive this scholarship! Upon opening the email, I immediately told my nana, Louise (Hughes) Thompson, an alumni who graduated in 1957, and is now 82 years old! We both agreed that it is amazing what the LDAA Scholarship Fund is doing to help students pursue their dreams of going to college. Though my career path is not certain, there are multiple goals that I will strive to achieve. I intend to receive a bachelors degree in marketing, a minor in political science/criminal justice, and a masters in business administration! These degrees will guide me in becoming an entrepreneur and working for, or being a part of, the government.
This scholarship will help me by lowering the out-of-pocket costs and loans that I will need to pay and take out for my education. This will allow me to focus more on my studies and be active on my campus and with community service, so that I will be able to achieve all of my goals that I set forth. By receiving this scholarship, it encourages me to always keep my education first while I am in college and to always remember to give back, the same way that the Class of 1968 has done for me, thank you so much!
With love & blessings,
Tiana Minor
